Jean Larroux
Jean Larroux preached his first sermon as the new senior pastor of
Southwood Presbyterian Church in Huntsville, AL, on August 15, 2010. Before
coming to Southwood, Jean planted and pastured Lagniappe Presbyterian Church in
Bay St. Louis, MS. In the aftermath and at ground zero of Hurricane Katrina’s
landfall, Lagniappe started a relief/social service/spiritual aid non-profit to
address the needs created by Katrina.
He is married to the former Kimberly Fulford of
Greenville, Mississippi, and they have 3 children: Jean F. Larroux, IV (17), Ann Elizabeth (14) and Hannah
Grace (13). Jean & Kim met at
Ole Miss and they have been married 18 years. Jean graduated from Reformed
Theological Seminary in Jackson, Mississippi with a Master of Divinity degree
emphasizing missions. He has also served churches in central Mississippi and
North Alabama as well as Memphis’s Independent Presbyterian Church. When he’s
not at work Jean can be found on the water sailing or fishing while listening to
Jimmy Buffett.
